Assist fintech startups in communicating product vision with investors through motion graphics

Financial technology startup Ephod Intelligence is a financial big data analysis SaaS platform that assists fund managers in validating investment hypotheses and monitoring stock market trends.

One of the initial challenges Ephod faced was the absence of a functional UI interface since the product was still in its early MVP stage. As a result, when pitching to potential clients and investors, the founder could only rely on data-filled spreadsheets accompanied by self-recorded videos to verbally explain how the product would work. This reliance on imagination created a significant communication gap between potential clients, investors, and the product.

To address this challenge, Ephod decided to commission us to create an animation to visually demonstrate how the product operates. In the initial planning phase, we delved into the scenarios of product usage by fund managers. For instance, when a fund manager has an investment idea, they can input queries into a chatbot, which then interacts with the user, providing options or reports for further research. Once we defined these usage scenarios clearly, we further developed storyboards and visual designs. After several rounds of refinement and consensus-building, the animation was produced.

Ultimately, this animation successfully helped Ephod reduce communication costs and enabled them to concretely communicate the product vision to investors.
