The gold standard for bladder cancer diagnosis is cystoscopy — a thin tube with a small camera poked into the bladder through the urethra. It's embarrassingly uncomfortable.
However, 90% of patients referred to cystoscopy turn out not to have cancer, which means most people go through a painful experience just for reassurance.
That's why GALEAS™ Bladder exists. It offers a gentler, equally accurate alternative: a non-invasive urine test that analyses tumour-derived DNA across 23 key bladder cancer genes, delivering results with over 90% sensitivity, equivalent to traditional cystoscopy.
The following animation is a clear explainer for GALEAS™ Bladder. The story is told from the patients' perspective.

We expressed the contrast between cystoscopy and GALEAS™ Bladder through the pathway of haematuria patients, emphasising how this innovative test can significantly reduce patients' physical and mental burden.
